any format that we offer. For more information see our Services

there any 'hidden' or extra costs? – There
is a single shipping charge for expedited shipping only (FedEx
Ground shipping is currently FREE) that accounts for shipment
of shipping kit, CDS both ways, delivery of mp3 files, and any
hardware. There are also additional items and services that are
optional, such as hard drives, iPod loading, installation and
instruction. Please see our Services

How
long does it take? – Turnaround time varies
by the size of your CD collection, but it generally takes 3 –
5 business days not including transit time.
How does the ordering and shipping process work? – Please see our Order + Shipping Info page for all the details.
Does
dmp3 Music deliver CD quality digital music files? –
CDs are usually converted to mp3 format at 192 kbps - 320 kbps,
depending on your preference of size vs. sound quality. We generally
recommend the mp3 format ripped at 256 kbps, which offers a great
combination of CD quality sound and relatively small file size.
Other formats are available. Please see our Services
+ Pricing page for details.
Can I purchase a Hard Drive through dmp3 Music? – Yes, hard drives are available for purchase during the order process. If you choose, we will set up, format and load your digital music library onto a new LaCie® Hard Drive. These superb desktop drives connect to your computer via hi-speed USB, FireWire, or both ("Extreme"). Compact, fast and reliable, they can serve all your backup and file storage needs. Click here to visit the manufacturer's web site, or for hard drive pricing, see our Services + Pricing page.
How
much hard drive space will I need for my collection? –
On average, 100 audio CDs in mp3 format at 256 kbps will take
up approximately 10GB of hard drive space. Please contact
us if you have a specific question regarding hard drive space.
Does dmp3 Music offer volume discounts and custom conversion? – Yes. Please refer to our Services + Pricing page or contact us to discuss these options.
What
audio formats are available? – CDs are converted
to mp3 format at 192 kbps - 320 kbps, depending on your preference
of size vs. sound quality. Other formats available are AAC, WMA,
Apple Lossless, WMA Lossless, FLAC and WAV.
How
does pickup and delivery work? – If you live in the
the Kansas City Metro Area, you can arrange for a pickup or delivery
when you place your order. We then come and pick up or deliver
your order. It's as simple as that. For more info, see our Services
+ Pricing.
Does
my computer read DVDs? – Most computers now include
DVD drives. If you don't have a DVD drive, you can purchase a
LaCie® external hard drive from us during the order process.
For hard drive pricing, see our Services
+ Pricing page.
How
many audio CDs fit on a DVD? – One 4.7GB DVD holds
about 50 audio CDs with mp3 files encoded at 256 kbps. Higher
